Eat: Assembly
When your starter comprises a delightful ball of velvety mozzarella that explodes over heirloom cherry tomatoes, plump olives and focaccia chunks, you know you’re onto a good thing. Newcomer Assembly Restaurant, little sister to Assembly Bar, is all about top-notch Italian food prepared well and served withinits elegant, clean-lined surrounds. The wood-fired pizzas are “Italy” excellent – just the right amount of strategically placed toppings scattered on thin and crispy crusts – and the Tartufata positively divine: who knew that truffle cream could elevate an already near-perfect dish? Afterwards, the Greek yoghurt panna cotta is a modern take on an old favourite. Topped with seasonal berries, it could almost be healthy.
